About our privacy policy

La Miséto cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes, unless stated otherwise.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by La Miséto . The starting date for the validity of these conditions is 20/01/2021, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what information about you is collected by us, what this information is used for and with whom and under what conditions this information may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us.

Website and online store software

Shopify
Our online store was developed with software from Shopify. Personal data that you make available to us for the benefit of our services will be shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Shopify is obliged to take appropriate security measures based on the agreement we have concluded with them. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy.

Shopify is a certified processor of credit card data. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve services. Shopify takes into account the applicable legal retention periods for (personal) data. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies, your data may be processed in the United States.

 

Email and mailing lists

Mailer Lite
Our website uses Mailer Lite, a third party that handles e-mail traffic from our newsletters. These are sent via the Mailer Lite servers. Mail er Lite will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email sent automatically via our website you will see the ' unsubscribe ' link. If you click here you will no longer receive emails from our website. This can seriously reduce the functionality of our website! Your personal data is stored securely by Mail er Lite . Mailer Lite uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. Mail er Lite reserves the right to use your data to further improve the services and to share information with third parties in this context.

Internet provider Antagonist
We use the services of internet provider Antagonist for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Internet provider Antagnonist has no access to our mailbox and we treat all our e-mail traffic confidentially.

Payment processors

Mollie
We use the Mollie platform to process (part of) the payments in our online store. Mollie processes your name, address and residence details and your payment details such as bank account details
credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the services and in this context to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the above-mentioned guarantees with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not store your data for longer than is permitted by the legal periods.

Shopify Payments
We also use the Shopify Payments platform to process (part of) the payments in our online store. Shopify Payments processes your name, address and residence details and your payment details such as bank account or credit card number. Shopify Payments has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Shopify Payments reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share (anonymized) data with third parties in this context. In the case of an application for a deferred payment (credit facility), Shopify Payments shares personal data and information regarding your financial position with credit rating agencies. All the above-mentioned guarantees with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Shopify Payments services for which they engage third parties. Shopify Payments does not store your data for longer than permitted by legal terms.

 

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of the processing
We only use your data for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. After your approval, we use your data for (targeted) marketing. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you cancel the restriction.

Right to portability
You always have the right to have the data that we process or have processed that relates to your person or can be traced back to you, processed by another party. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days.
